Dorothy Marie Daniels, 86, Hightstown, passed away Sunday, July 18, 2010 at Pine Brook Care Center in Englishtown, NJ.
Born in Plattsburg, NY, Dorothy was a longtime resident of Hightstown, where she raised her six children and worked as a housekeeper and nanny for several local families.
Dorothy enjoyed reading, cooking and taking care of her family.
Daughter of the late Edward and Mary Fordham, she is also predeceased by her husband, Russell H. Daniels; two sons, Gary L., Gregory and Russell B. Daniels; her sister, Jane; and seven brothers, Harmon, Junior, Lester, George, Phillip, Leonard and Bradford Fordham.
She is survived by two sons, Gerald Daniels and his partner Davida McGeachy of East Brunswick, and Lawrence Daniels of Ambler, PA; two daughters, Gail Daniels and her partner Susan Curry of Ambler, PA and Helen Emmons and her husband Vernon of Brick, NJ; a brother, Richard Fordham of San Diego, CA; her sister, Alice Daniels of Millville, WV; 11 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren, along with many nieces and nephews.
Family and friends may call 7-9pm Thursday at the Glackin/Saul Funeral Home, 136 Morrison Ave., Hightstown, NJ. The funeral service will be held during this time at 8:30pm.
